Working Principle Of Car Air Conditioning System: How Car AC Works?

Presently the airconditioning that (shortly called AC) system is very familiar in our daily life. Almost every modern car has AC features. But have you ever questioned yourself what the air conditioning system is? How does it work in your car? Does the car air conditioning system use gas? Yes, the article I am writing will provide you with all about a car’s air conditioning system. Now let’s go to know about the system.

Air Conditioning is the process used to cool down or maintain a certain temperature. The system’s main purpose is to cool hot weather or maintain that temperature, which is not comfortable. Nowadays, it is a responsibility to find families who do not use the refrigerator. If the food is cold, the bacteria cannot work fast, so the food stays fresh for a long time. But I think most of us are don’t know how the refrigerator keeps food so cold? If you one of them who don’t know about the process, then the post is suitable for you. No more delay, let’s go to know full about the air conditioning system.

Car Air Conditioning System Working Principle

It is very insufferable if the AC of our car or other vehicles is not working in the summer month. The main purpose of the car airconditioning system is to cool the air entering the car and exhaust the air’s moisture. At the circumstance, it feels more comfortable with the journey. There are some basic components of a car air conditioning system. These are- Compressor, Condenser, Expansion valve or orifice tube, receiver drier or accumulator, and Evaporator. Now let’s go to know about the works of the components.

To keep the AC process running properly, the compressor pushes or starts compressing the gas, which produces unnecessary heat. It is attached to the engine’s crankshaft. The excess heat generated in the AC compressor is dissipated outside through another condensate coil and fan. On the other hand, when the gas cools down, it becomes liquid again. And it continues to work on the same cycle, turns into liquid gas, absorbs heat, compresses the gas again, generates excess heat, encloses it, cools the gas, and turns it into liquid again.

Actually, the condenser is a radiator. The condenser works like the compressor. It is also cooling the high-temperature weather with refrigerant gas—it constructions into a high-pressure liquid. When the compressor pressures the refrigerant gas, it enters the condenser, and moving it to the condenser creates heat. The gaseous refrigerant goes into the condenser. Here it releases heat and becomes liquid. Doesn’t the back of the fridge look like a lot of twisted tubes? They are condensers. That is, the condenser released heat to cool and liquefy the refrigerant.

The heat was released but in the back of the room. That’s why if you ever look at the back of the fridge with your hands, it will feel hot. The refrigerant gas down until it forms a liquid again; it flows around the condenser’s involving tubes. The receiver works in the air conditioning system, removes moisture from the refrigerant gas, and then transfers it to the other component evaporator. Many ACs also have a heating element, which warms the cold air during the winter and makes the room temperature comfortable.

Does Car AC Use Gas?

Yes, car AC uses gas. A non-flammable gas known as Freon undergoes an evaporation process in most refrigerators to keep the temperature low. The same cycle is used for air conditioning. A special type of refrigerant called CFC is used in refrigerators. Its boiling point and other religions are almost like ammonia. As soon as any food is kept in the fridge at normal temperature, CFC absorbs heat from it and becomes gaseous by itself. In the case of deep freezers, it takes more temperature for certain gases to evaporate, so food temperature decreases much more.

When an old AC or refrigerator breaks down or can say when its lifespan is over, this chemical escapes into the atmosphere and flies into the inter-sky, it goes into the inter-sky. It causes a lot of damage to our ozone layer. The ozone layer acts as our Earth’s default sunscreen, blocking harmful rays from the sun, causing cancer in our skin. However, many countries currently ban the use of CFCs in air conditioners. CFCs are replaced by HCFCs, which are ozone-friendly chemicals.

Is Car AC System Risky?

If you use AC, then you have to know about its detrimental aspects. Now I will discuss here the risky aspects of the air conditioning system. Though the air conditioning system provides us a comfortable moment, it has some harmful aspects. There could be mould or fungus trapped inside the air conditioning system duct near the air conditioning system’s evaporator coil. Besides the stink, such moulds can also have harmful effects on people who have asthma or asthma. So, it can be said that though the air conditioning system is a trendy system for a comfortable life in the summer month, it is not fully safe for us.

Conclusion

If you want to say goodbye to hot weather and cool air, air conditioning can be no substitute. Although AC is not used as much in our Asian countries as in the United States, its use increases day by day. Although it has some harmful aspects, it can perfectly refresh your mind and body. And today, you know how it works. I tried to make the article free from any mistakes. Now let me apprise your opinion after reading the whole article.
